Join us August 15th for our Lunch and Learn. Topic:  Initiative 2117 and Media Literacy

We have an amazing lunch an learn planned. Elections and voting aren't as clear as they used to be.  Between algorithms, fake news, bots, important initiatives and strong emotions... How do we find the truth?

We are in luck, Erica Bartlett Environmental Health Policy Coordinator from the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department is our guest speaker.

Erika will be giving us a deep understanding of the Climate Commitment act & Initiative 2117.  Erika is going to walk us through what the Climate Commitment Act is. It's fiscal impacts, community benefits and about initiative 2117.  The Climate Commitment Act supports so many programs for our communities, it's essential we understand it's impacts.

Erika will also be giving us tips and suggestions on media literacy.  How to find vetted media, spot fake news, minimize algorithm blinders and inflammatory messaging.
